Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, and there is currently no waitlist. You are welcome to book appointments right away.

How do I get started?

You can book a free 15 minute phone or video consultation. This is a chance for us to connect and see if it feels like a good fit, and for you to ask any questions you may have.

If you are feeling ready to begin right away, you can book a session here. Alternatively, you can fill out the contact form with any questions and I’ll get back to you shortly.

What can I expect in the first session?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what support you are looking for, and identify your goals for therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance and there’s no pressure to share everything right away. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

How are sessions conducted?

Sessions are held virtually through the Jane program for individuals located across Canada. Clients can also choose a telephone session if they prefer. In-person sessions are also available in Vancouver (near Broadway and Cypress).

What is your approach to therapy?

I value a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in collaboration, warmth, and flexibility. My approach is often twofold: helping you develop practical tools and strategies for current challenges, while also exploring how past experiences and relationships may have shaped your patterns, thoughts, and ways of coping.

I take a person-centred approach and draw from evidence-based therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT).

What are your fees, and do you accept insurance?

Individual sessions are $170 and couples sessions are $185. Sessions are 50 minutes. I provide receipts that you can submit to your extended health benefits provider for reimbursement. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Registered Psychotherapist (RP), my services are covered by many extended health benefit plans.
